And thus passes a lovely Easter weekend. Plenty of friends, family, temperamental English weather and probably more Pimms than is healthy *ahem* More importantly it is now only 16 days till The Avengers comes out. Though any Londoners near Westfields should keep your eyes peeled as the UK première's apparently being held there on the 19th. In the meantime! Passing on some good interviews. x. 'Well, acting with Robert Downey Jr is like playing Agassi. You never know what he’s going to do next. Unless, of course, you happen to be throwing him out of a window and he’s shouting, “Throw me harder, baby. Let’s make it real.”' - wherein Hiddleston talks Avengers and also a bit on how class in perceived in the acting world, (he speaks as an Oxbridge Etonian via Rada). x. "We were trying to design the fight so it had big brother-versus-little brother mentality... Thor wants to take Loki home without harming him, while Loki wants to approach the fight with deadly intentions. - ah, bring on the family angst! Great interview with fight choreographer Jonathan Eusebio and Hiddleston on their work in Avengers. Spoilers only for what's already been seen in the trailers. *rubs hands* Bring it on :) Tags: film

Due to the imminent end of the financial year I've been ejected from the office to try and reduce the amount of annual leave I've not had the time to actually take. My body has responded to the break in chronic stress by promptly breaking down and felling me with a cold. Thus my first day of holiday has me in my dressing gown, dosed up to the eyeballs and trying to rally enough strength to go and enjoy the sunshine. That aside it's been a grand, grand weekend. 1) Met-up with the family to peruse the Lucien Freud exhibition in London. A very good show if you get the chance to go. 2) Results of the The Jameson Empire Awards 2012: Hiddleston finally won won something and spent some quality time in the photobooth with Hayley Atwell. Gotta love these Marvel stars :) 3) Latest ep of Supernatural: ♥♥♥ For now my reaction is mainly this... ( SPOILERS for ep behind cut... )Tags: tv

At work we've bid a tearful farewell to a friend who's moving back overseas. This was marked by going to the pub until they closed and threw us out, then moving on to a club and dancing like loons until they closed and threw us out, and then me spending the rest of the weekend grumbling "I'm too old for this s**t". Ah, life. I caught up on Supernatural which was great fun, the bad guys this week were brilliant :) ( SPOILERS behind this here cut... )I did take a sneak peek at the CW promo for next week's ep (ep 17). LOOK AWAY NOW IF YOU ARE GOING SPOILER-FREE... ( SPOILERS... )On to other TV: Oh my FL, my wanderings have led to pass posts like this. Putting such trivial things like plot, writing and acting aside, is this Spartacus something I should be watching? AND FINALLY! Because I have to finish with something Avengers-related, some fun links: x. Sherlock/Avengers crossover trailer - a gif storyboard that made me chuckle, particularly the last panel :) x. Some more Loki stills - he does look somewhat unhinged in a few of them. This is not necessarily a bad thing. ( Some more musings on the trailers so far... )Tags: film, tv, vid recs
